This study investigated organisational commitment of female librarians in tertiary institutions in \r\nBenue state, Nigeria. The following objectives were covered: to determine normative, affective \r\nand continuance commitment of female librarians. The study adopted a quantitative methodology \r\nwhile the study used a correlation design. 111 female librarians were used as the population. Total \r\nenumerative sampling was used and a questionnaire was used as the research instrument. \r\nDescriptive statistics using frequency, percentage and measures of central tendency of mean and \r\nstandard deviation were used to for the data analysis. Chi-square was used to test the hypothesis. \r\nFindings showed the level of the three aspect of organisational commitment of female librarians \r\nin the institutions under study was high. There existed a relationship between organizational \r\ncommitment and age but not relationship existed between organizational commitment and \r\neducational qualification of female librarians. The study concluded that female librarians in the \r\ninstructions studied are committed to their orgaisnations. The study recommend that institutional \r\nauthorities should work towards ensuring the maintnaiace of affective, normative and continuance \r\ncommitment of library workers.
